    Default Hannibal Lecter in Gotham

How far (Composite) Hannibal Lecter goes in (post-crisis-pew-new52) Gotham City?

bonus: Justice league members outside Batman are around in Gotham city

Well Gotham is still crime-infested despite Batman's efforts, and Hannibal is very quiet about his serial-killing, so he probably lasts quite a while. Batman mostly goes after loud supervillains who make public spectacles of their kills, only hiding their own complicity or location. It might take many years for Batman to even discover that Hannibal exists, with his kills just being a missing person statistic lost amidst the deluge of missing persons statistics in Gotham. Batman might even never discover his existence.

If Hannibal makes the mistake of getting on Batman's radar, however, then Batman will catch him pretty quickly. Can't see that happening unless Hannibal kills someone Bruce likes, like some high-society type Bruce is fond of, and takes note when he or she vanishes.

Yeah Lecter is intelligent and well-spoken enough to command respect around himself. And there's so much crime in Gotham he might be able to get away with his kills even better than in the movies.

I think he might be eventually caught not by Batman but Bruce Wayne, when he attends an event with Lecter and realizes the food tastes...funny.

Yeah I think Lecter vanishes amongst the crowd.

knowing lecter, he'd probably pin the murders on someone like zazz or something.

and even if he does catch him, he could easily escape arkham, which is where they would put him since, like will graham said, there is no classification on exactly what he is.

If Lecter escaped Arkham he could do the ending of Silence of the Lambs and just move to a place with zero superhero activity, and avoid the hassle altogether. He could have probably done that indefinitely in the movies if not for his need to contact Clarice and his past catching up to him.

and considering how damn good he is at reading people, he could probably figure out batman's identity rather easily. he'd keep it a secret out of respect for bruce but it would be something he'd hold over his head.

Not happening. In the real world he’s smart but in a comic book setting he’s an average guy. Smarter people than Hannibal haven’t figured it out. Bane, Harley Quinn, Mr.Freeze, Rash Al Ghul and even Joker are all smarter than him.

As to the question I think he can do fine if he keeps a low enough profile. But he’s gotta be really careful with who he targets. This isn’t the real world and anyone can have superpowers or they could be connected to someone Hannibal does NOT want want to get involved.

easily escape arkham? It took him like 10 years to get out of
Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane what makes you think he can get out of arkham easily? A place that keeps way worse lock up at least for a little while.

Only until they decide they want to get out. The place has a revolving door for inmates. The Baltimore Hospital had him in permanent solo incarceration in that cell. Arkham lets nutjobs like Joker wander around in the cafeteria among the rest of the psycho populace.

Serial killers who make a real effort to hide evidence of there having been a murder at all? Serial killers whose kills mostly appear to be mere missing persons cases? Or serial killers whose kills are showy and public?
