RIP.
What's sad is that she wasn't able to retire till she was 97...maybe that was by choice but we know a lot of creators simply cannot afford to retire and need to keep working in perpetuity.
RIP

Dale Messick was the first female cartoonist I can remember, but Ramona Fradon was the first one I can recall in a comic book (Plastic Man, which is my favorite of her work). Of course, they both made their mark with Brenda Starr (which I read for decades).

THE CBR COMMUNITY STANDARDS & RULES ~ So... what's your excuse now?
rest in peace. I loved her Aquaman work, creating Metamorpho, and her work on the Metal Men!
Another legend that now belongs to the ages. Requiescat in pace.

I just saw where she drew the Super Friends comic as well. I loved that book.
Condolences to the family. I gave thanks for her works.
