Default Remember when Superman was called Supes?

For several years, Superman was called Supes by some of the other heroes.

Glad that stopped but it was fun for awhile.

You reminded me that Byrne hated when anyone, even people in real life, called him Supes which is really funny to me.

I like this being a thing, though it only really makes sense being said by people who tend to be less formal.

    Same.

I think of it the same way people use Spidey. Just a casual and friendly shortening.
"Has Sariel summoned you here, Azrael? Have you come to witness the miracle of your brethren arriving on Earth?"

"I WILL MIX THE ASHES OF YOUR BONES WITH SALT AND USE THEM TO ENSURE THE EARTH THE TEMPLARS TILLED NEVER BEARS FRUIT AGAIN!"

"*sigh* I hoped it was for the miracle."

Dan Watters' Azrael was incredible, a constant delight and perhaps too good for this world (but not the Forth). For the love of St. Dumas, DC, give us more!!!

It's just a neat little nickname from his friends and colleagues. Makes him seem more approachable.
