Rip Roaring adventure? Maybe in Part 2, but certainly not part 1.

This picks up where Artemis: Wanted left off and has Artemis working out her PTSD of betraying others by roaming the desert trying to get her thoughts in order. I found it rather thought provoking and interesting honestly. We don't get enough of looking into the thoughts of characters like Artemis.

Art was pretty, though it was mostly Artemis riding a horse through barren desert

I didn't particularly care for how Artemis was used in ToA or Wanted but I thought this was a decent prologue and interesting to explore how she felt being viewed as a traitor by the Amazons.

Though with the price of the book, I'm not sure if I'd continue if the issue after this didn't have a Jurassic League story in it also.

Doubtful. She keeps talking about being an Amazon of the Bana, so she will probably stick with them.
