The problem is there's no way to prove this assertion. Some fanatic of the New 52 could say the same thing about fans of the DCU. How would you be able to rebut that?

That's fine, but nobody is going to accept your assertion based on your belief. You need something tangible for persuasion.

My job is not to persuade anyone. You read the statement and either agree with it or don't. I'm just putting it out in the universe for others to agree with or judge.

Ahh, but we had Young Justice, which was awesome! Tim, Conner, Bart, Cassie, Secret, Empress, Arrowette, etc. It was sort of like the 90s version of the New Teen Titans.

I don't really like Tim's generation, though I do like Tim, Arrowette, and Bart when he was Impulse.

Is Kyle Rayner considered part of Dick's generation or Tim's generation? I've always had trouble classifying him.

15 years? There was tons of stuff coming out at the beginning of the 2000's.

I wonder if the New52 would've done better if the only thing they kept were the superhero names.
Similar to how they did Tangent Comics in 1997 or Flash in 1956.

All new characters, possibly with new abilities/interpretations but the same hero names.

Can you imagine New52 with a re-envisioned Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, etc.

Perhaps a Man-Bat type Batman, a Captain Atom type Superman and a Zatanna type Wonder Woman...
