I think Robinsons start was fine. New 52 Earth-2 actually lived up to what New 52 was trying to accomplish and also felt like what DC has tried off and on, an Ultimate book. If anything it needed another book due to Robinsons books seeming to just plod along. After he left and Taylor took over that’s when it hit worst ever, killed off a bunch of characters pushed his versions more. It’s a shame there were a lot of plots just left

I agree with you on all of this... I wanted to like it, but it had nothing to do with the golden age aside from using a few of characters in name, if not in spirit. Savage Hawkman was better, and I despise Liefield, so make of that what you will lol.

Black Label. Take the JSA and put them in a traditional Earth Two setting publishing it as an out of continuity Black Label book. The challenges of using a time locked JSA fitting into DC continuity (whatever exists of it this month) are huge and not getting any easier to deal with. Take what many of the fans here consider the real JSA and publish them leaving Paige PG and whatever else DC wants to use with their main Earth there.

I liked the worldbuilding of the New 52 Earth 2 and the self contained nature. But using a generational structure and letting the Infinity Inc be the modern day protagonists would've been the better way to go.

The JSA became defined by the WW2 era. So having a series set on the WW2 of Earth 2 and letting it diverge after would be a way to go.

I liked Robinson's worldbuilding on Earth 2 and I would like it to be brought back as the home of an alternate DC earth.
Yeah, me too. Earth 2 was actually my favorite New 52 title, and it had tons of potential that, sadly, was greatly wasted by the powers that be at DC.

I agree that they completely botched it after Robinson left, however, Abnett managed to reboot the series to a new world with a fresh slate, and I, for one, would be curios to see what became of that world and those heroes.

From shoving the characters Robinson started the book with so far into the background that they might as well have become guest-stars who barely made cameos, to introducing new Trinity-adjacent and -related characters that became the stars of the book (which was supposed to have lost all Trinity-related characters in a previous conflict), to the rather cynical efforts to apparently alienate the audience by turning the book into nothing more than an exercise in mass-murder and disaster porn (and make the "heroes" look utterly incompetent)....
Wow, that's a perfect description, if I ever saw one. DC went from spectacular world-building to lame world-ravishing in just a few issues. I thought it was a stroke of genius what Robinson did. As an homage to the golden age, he tied the heroes to a war, however, since it was a fictional war, he didn't have to deal with a roving time-line. He got rid of the big Trinity, having the freedom to establish his own core heroes, so much so that, without the baggage of past continuity, he was able to turn one of his iconic characters, and one of his own Trinity, gay (something that, IMO, REALLY doesn't work with a character of such long established history as the Golden Age Alan 'GL" Scott). I loved that Earth two was a post-war world trying to establish a new sense of normality. There were still scars from the war, however, mostly they were on the way to rebuilding and facing new, non-related, threats. The core characters were Green Lantern (the heavy-hitter), Hawkgirl and the Flash, however other characters were slowly being introduced around them, such as the Atom, Dr. Fate and Steel, and with new versions of classic villains such as Solomon Grundy and Wotan. At first, I didn't mind so much when Taylor came in, however, it soon became obvious that he was intent in introducing elements from Injustice in the book, with his own take on the classic Trinity, and, instead of a book with hope for the future, it became dread and dreary. When Wilson came along it simply became unreadable.

    Peace

In each cosmic event of recent years, DC expands the multiverse...and then does nothing with it.
(52 Earths! A multiverse! A dark multiverse! Infinite multiverses!)

Gosh what I wouldn't give for a yearly multiversal team-up. (Hint: how about the Summer annuals?)

Longwinded way of saying I love all the ideas listed, of which we'll get none. Sigh.

I'd love to do a remixed version of the New 52 Earth 2.

I'd make it a home of an all new take on the All Star Batalion.A reimagined take like Gods and Monsters for the 2020s.
