I hadn't bought the comic book, but maybe I need to pick up the first issue in magazine format.

The art takes time . . . this isn't the same simpler artwork in your typical Archie book with a rotating cast of artists and writers.

Only way they could avoid a s-l-o-w schedule would be if they had several issues worth prepared in advance before they started printing the first issue, but I don't know if companies even consider doing that in this modern day and age.

Love this book. If I find this mag on shelves, it will be mine.

You have to remember, Francesco Francavilla has his creator-owned comic, as well.
Hope is not lost today. It is found.
