- “X-Men” will find Scott Summers going home to Alaska, leading a team using cerebra to find struggling mutants in need. Written by Jed MacKay, inked by Ryan Stegman.

- Ryan Stegman puts his own stamp on the characters. Oya has been rebranded as Temper.

The Uncanny X-Men finds Gambit returning to Louisiana with Rogue, who find 4 new mutant outliers. Written by Gail Simone and inked by David Marquez.

- Rogue, Gambit, and their new mutants become “Outlaw Heroes” in New Orleans in this arc. Tom Brevoort promises this era of X-Men puts characters back in the real world with non-mutants.

- Gail Simone says the new mutants she co-created are inspired by the way fans connect with X-Men by feeling different and outcast. Tom Brevoort wants readers to cry every month when reading.

Exceptional X-Men is set in Chicago, following Kate Pride as she tries to leave her mutant past behind. Written by Eve L. Ewing, inked by Carmen Carnero.

- Kate Pride will try to be a barista, but meeting a group of fledgling mutants without guidance pulls her back in as a teacher to new mutants.

- Emma Frost shows up to help lead these three young mutants - Bronze, Axo, and Melee.

Glad Emma is part of the book focusing on the students but I'm disappointed their new. We had good moments with the Cuckoos despite not having anything with Catseye. Also her costume is weird. The second image is such a better design.

Looks like they dropped solo books for Storm, Phoenix and Wolverine at the end; plus NYX, X-Factor and X-Force… but with no creative teams.

Those concepts sound very uninspired, not excited by anything here.

I like Jubilee’s jacket, everything underneath it is terrible.

Hopefully Emma changes up her outfit throughout the book, every other design on that sheet is better than the one on the cover.

Could be, but don’t forget that Mystique was actually in X-Factor back in the day, when it was the government stooge mutant book.

I knew this was going to be boring as ****. I hate to see my fears confirmed. There is definitely a fall from x and this is it.
