I'm on pins and needles on the Magik rumors. Between Brevoot's known hatred for the character and the separate rumors they're turning her into a villain, there's a lot of reason to worry.

Looking at those solos
Cyclops by Jed Mackay and Ryan Stegman
Phoenix by Stephanie Phillips
Wolverine by Saladin Ahmed and Greg Capullo
Mystique by Declan Shalvey
You would looking at volume
Cyclops 4
Jean Grey 3
Wolverine 8
Mystique 2
Lets give them (not include Logan) all 12 issues- Jean would be near 50, Mystique around 30ish and Scott near 25.
So I could go with that. However the list looks questionable and fake.
If I am doing a relaunch.
New Mutants
X-Factor
X-Force
Uncanny X-Men
X-Men
Deadpool
Wolverine
Gen X
New X-Men Academy
Excalibur
These are NON-negotiables.
These are the books that gave you your FANS.
These at least give you an idea who could be in the casts. That other list does not.
It just says guys like Hellion and Synch are NOT in the plans.
I'm taking this with a huge grain of salt, because plans might have changed and rumors mixed with facts are not great for analysis.
Hope they dont try to transform a Team Book franchise in a solo book franchise.
The X-men are a team - a family the Avengers are co workers.
That whys there isnt a "Secret Avengers" "Dark Avengers" "Avengers Academy" "Avengers Team up" book.
You can try to establish some solo books. but not all Mutants can sell up to 50 issues
No pessimist ever discovered the secret of the stars, or sailed to an uncharted land, or opened a new doorway for the human spirit.
- Helen Keller
I have a soft spot for the young mutant groups so I'm curious about Young X.
TO KNOW HER IS TO FEAR HER: JESSICA DREW THE SPIDER-WOMAN
BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE NEW 2024 SPIDER-WOMAN SERIES by STEVE FOXE!!!
MISSING:
Synch's Aura
Northstar and Aurora's shiny hair
Spider-Woman’s cowl costume
I see a lot of people being dismissive of this list because of no uncanny or X-force. Were there strong rumors that those titles would be part of this relaunch?
Honestly at this point I feel Uncanny should stay in the past as it’s so heavily associated with the Claremont era of the 70s/80s. In modern times every new direction had a new book title Jim Lee X-Men, Grant Morrison New X-Men, Whedon Astonishing, etc.
I also think if they want to go “back to basics” they should just set the comic in the 90s so it doesn’t interfere with the Krakoa stuff. The marvel Star Wars comics are set between movies in the trilogy and that has been pretty lucrative for them.
