Golden Age Captain America Omnibus Vol. 3?

Hi everyone!

Does anyone know if Marvel has plans to release a third volume of the Golden Age Captain America Omnibus? The last volume ended with issue 24 (same as the GA Cap Marvel Masterworks editions) and I'd dearly love to see this very important run completed within the next 2-3 years.

We don’t know, but it seems unlikely. As you alluded to, Marvel released six volumes of Marvel Masterworks “Golden Age Captain America” and then stopped that line. The two Golden Age Cap omnis exactly duplicate the contents of those six Masterworks volumes, which was easy to do because the restoration had already been done for the Masterworks, so it was just a matter of repackaging it. For any more omnis, they’d need to actually restore new issues, which is much more costly and time intensive, and those omnis were never big sellers. So my guess would be probably not.

I really deeply hope and pray we get more. And I'm still upset DC isn't doing Golden Age Capt Marvel and I have emails supporting that they are not opposed to perhaps doing those.
