Only X Force might be a team.
Only X Force might be a team.

Eh tbh it's not for me. My favorite part of the franchise is the team aspect. So seeing us likely getting less is disappointing. And team books already risk turning into stealth solos, especially with Kitty Pryde leading a book.
It's disappointing after DoX gave us X-Men (had a small cast, but was more of an ensemble and focused on developing Krakoa as a whole), Marauders, New Mutants (which had TWO teams at first), X-Force, Fallen Angels, and Excalibur, with Hellions and X-Factor on the horizon. It also felt more expansive. We had so many good books with diverse ideas, and also Fallen Angels. I know the situations were different, as the X-Men are split up and on the run now. But it's not giving me a lot to look forward to, especially since most books - team or solo - will likely be under the current lens, dire lens.
I do hope we get a few more team books, especially since we're getting more than a few new characters and how small some of the teams seem so far.
They have pretty much all the "name" teams accounted for except for Excalibur and New Mutants.
This right here. And I guess Gail’s book is introducing FOUR new characters? I get the desire to create an OC when coming into the X-office. Built in origin story and guaranteed royalties if the characters get used elsewhere. However, can these writers please limit themselves to just ONE?!? Look at how Feint was received in Dark X-Men vs. CotA. In the latter she was just part of a set that no one thought would go anywhere, but now folks actually seem to enjoy the dynamics she’s created with existing characters and at least don’t mind when she shows up (dare I say some even get excited).
I just realized that one or two things is for sure:
A lot of Krakoan Age characters will disappear into limbo.
A lit of mutants being killed in the last few month won't probably be resurrected
