Eh, I think there needs be more than just Superman and Batman appearing for an issue or two to constitute "relying on them". Outside of that Trinity issue, Supes and Bats didn't appear outside of a few scenes in an anniversary issue.

Same with Rucka, they popped up for one issue near the end and the annual.

Fair enough. Alltho, for me the problem has never been Superman and Batman appearing on the Wondy series, but Wondy not doing the same at the reverse on the World's Finest comics. Hard to have a Trinity culture like that...

No disagreement there. Not following Superman and Batman so maybe I’m wrong but can’t remember the last time she appeared in a Superman book that was comparable.

And both of them have more than one book.

I dont think that is the Focus of the story. I think Tom King's Focus is trying to tell the story of a woman against the world, and try to get at what makes her cool. Each number is basically Tom King telling why Wonder Woman is the chaddest on diferent ways (its not the first time he does this)

Its also Tom King criticising USA, ofc. Alltho, I guess he can start doing a mommy story later on. But not now.

If King is trying to make WW cool, he is not doing a good job of it.

Just having Sovereign sing empty praises of her won't really make a difference.

Yeah, I get the Sovereign narration can get annoying but its backed up by actual scenes.

I don't much care for powerscaling moments to be honest.

I just want heroes to be likeable. But here Wonder Woman is punching Hippolyta, trash talking Steve behind his back, being condescending to other Amazons and threatening to rip someone in half over a small argument.

Tom King and I just have a fundamental disagreement on how a confident and strong person should act.
