Like I get not wanting to sacrifice his creative stories for the sake of someone else, especially when that person had their time with the character and this is Slott's time to make a mark. But what Slott wrote was bad and was almost certainly not as good as whatever Hickman planned. Like I get it, but at the same time... No. Plus it's not like they couldn't coordinate or compromise; XM/FF had like no impact on Slott's run, and Franklin could jump between New York and Krakoa whenever he wanted. We even saw a bit of this in Slott's FF.

Also, is worth noting that Krakoa had a lot of teases that promised to be great storylines and end up as nothing. Remember that Omega list? How important was it in the end?
Aside from terraforming Mars? A lot of them got use. Exodus got a big glow-up in Immortal X-Men. Jamie was King of Otherworld for a hot minute. Iceman didn't live to his full potential, but he got a one-shot, that Unlimited arc, and a mini to himself. Gabriel wasn't super deadly or anything, but he was a notable recurring antagonist in X-Men Red. Legion co-starred in 2 of the 3 Nightcrawler books. Jean, Ororo, Magneto, Hope, Quire, all pretty obvious. Even most of the Arakki got love. When Omegas appeared, they often got focus or showed off how powerful they were.

A lot of ideas fell through the cracks with Krakoa. But Hickman established the connection in as late as Timeless, is more than capable as a Franklin writer, and we got a mini specifically to establish plot lines between the Fantastic Four and Krakoa. This was clearly wasn't something they were just tossing around.

Fans are always asking why the Omegas didn't solved the Orchis problems, Franklin would be just one more not doing enough.
Franklin burning through his powers is sadly a constant running theme with him, so he'd have the biggest excuse not to help. He was already burning through his powers during the Krakoa era. And I don't know where the current Fantastic Four run fits in with the timeline, but Franklin was transported a year into the future around the time FoX started. So he wouldn't be able to help anyway.

It's mindboggling to take away Franklin's mutantdom. This will ALWAYS remain one of the most impactful pieces of comic promos.

Id love to see Franklin reaffirmed as a mutant and choose to join a mutant teen book. Whether that be Exceptional X-men or the speculated NYX. He used to be a junior member of Generaton X so Id love to see him interact with some of his former cast

Another edit: Hickman backing it up in FF #13

"Beyond Omega" has always read so stupid to me, the entire point of the Omega classification was limitless potential.

And then we were introduced to the Arakkii which also have a bunch of omegas.

Matt Fraction did that with Emma by coining her an Omega Level Telepath, when he could have just went with World Class, A Class, Premier Class, Enormously Powerful, etc.

I think Beyond Omega works tbh. Like there are Omegas with limitless potential. And then you have Franklin, whose full potential can eclipse even their limitless potential. They're Infinity, he's Infinity +1.

That doesnt make sense IMO.Limitless potential means that the upper limit cant be measured. How you measure him as +1 above them? The others would have to have a ceiling or else its just arbitrary and someone just saying things

There is a difference between someone who can freeze a entire planet and someone who can make a entire planet and choose it's temperature.

Those are two different powers and wouldnt be considered Omega for the same thing

You need to consider that Franklin operates on a larger scale than the average Omega. At their full potential, most of them might be able to end the universe on their own. But at full potential, Franklin could be described as a threat to the omniversal order. Franklin has the potential to be one of the most powerful beings in Marvel canon aside from like, abstract entities and stuff.

A designation of "Beyond Omega" should show that Franklin's potential goes far beyond anything most Omegas could go for. Or almost any superhero, period. Hence Infinity +1.

You just described a limit for a reality warper. One who's full potential can be defined within the confines of a universal scale. Franklin as an omega's potential reaches on an omniversal scale

But all reality warpers were on the Omega list, yet, Franklin is as far as anything shown or stated on page, more powerful than all of them.

but you guys just went back to beyond omega and made up that Infinity +1 description, which wasnt used to describe that original omega data page. Either we are going by the current description of omega status or not. Because there are inconsistencies when that term was thrown around prior to HOX streamlining what that meant and to my knowledge "Beyond omega" hasnt been a term used

Yes, by the current definition of Omega, there is not such thing as Beyond Omega, but is important to make it clear, that not all Omegas are created equal.

It doesn't matter how many energy Vulcan manipulates or how much cosmic wind Storm moves around, at the end of the day they are not in the same level as the guys who can create a new reality. Not even, among the reality warpers they are the same.

P.S.: The current definition of Omega is flawed, imo, because, how the hell isn't Manifold an Omega?

Thank God, now undo Pietro and Wanda and then One More Day for good measure while you're at it.
