I think despite being a pretty big flop the Robin Williams version is kind of a cult classic/has it's fans?

For a sec I thought it said, "Popeye the Sailor Moon" - that'd be interesting... (I can really picture the spinach-induced anime powerup sequence)

    1980 movie budget--$20m.

    Made $60m!

It was not a bomb! Crazy huh as we been told it was for decades, but it made its money back and more!

In fact, the filming area is still a tourist spot.

Unless Jason Statham plays Popeye, Gal Gadot plays Olive Oil, Dave Bautista plays Brutus, and John Goodman plays Wellington Wimpy, I might not be interested.

“Spinach Cosmic Power, Make Up!” Ah-gah-gah-gah *or whatever sound Popeye makes when he laughs*

Jason Statham as live action Popeye is the casting I didn’t know I needed.
