Yeah but isn't it the tad bit tiresome that Colossus has had pretty much only one of 2 motivations (Kitty or Illyana)? Both of which often are proven how cool they are by writers at Peters expense?

I don't recall seeing any cosplay of Peter in this thread, and come to think of it I do not think I have ever seen any in person either.

This begs the question, since we hear so often how artists love drawing Colossus, why have there been no female clones/alternate dimension Colossus'?

since Claremont left, yes. Well, Nocenti did do "God's Country". Raab had a one shot with Meggan and Murderworld, but that got to be about her crush on him. There was a fairly decent story in X-men Unlimited about him struggling with his painting. There have to be stories to tell of a man struggles with what his home country has become, and to even explore sociopolitical issues.

I quite like Chris Yost's Colossus-centric stories. I think my favorite is "X-men Origins: Colossus".
