I just feel like Spencer, for example, handled it better.
Like he started off with simpler, straightforward, stories before diving into the deeper and more serious storylines but afterwards he didn't immediately pivot to cartoon antics and actually let characters process what happened so it felt like their emotions and the stuff they were involved in had weight. And there was just more consistency in creative vision (at least up until the latter half of the run).
I don't get that from Wells.
