That leaves Paul, Peter or Harry

Possibly Randy if Wells wanted something out there

Guys, if MJ is ruled out because of Jackpot and Black Cat, then so is Paul. Did you forget that he is, of course, part of that book's cast?

Can't say I ever had it on my pull list to drop it in the first place, but it's been a wild ride following its progress regardless.

At this point, the whole run has been like a weird case of MadLibs, and nothing really phases me. They could reveal literally anybody is the new Goblin - make it Gwen, Aunt May, Paul, Paul Stacy, Paul the Gorilla, etc. - and it would have the same "meh" impact on me because at this point I expect random nonsense and equally random conclusions and actions to unfold.

That said, I'm not a cynic, and I always root for a comic to surprise and delight me in unexpected ways. I wouldn't bet on it, but I'm certainly open to it. Even after 45+ issues of letdown.

I wonder if maybe we get a merged Norman personality, kind of like the Professor Hulk. He still feels the guilt and wants to do good, while the Goblin persona allows him to be unpredictable with occasional manic intensity. He would be like DC's Creeper.

    Truly the bastions of originality.

I'm more perplexed they JUST did a "Peter infected with Goblin Sins" story a few months ago and wrapped it up.

Everything seems to just be repeating, but with shorter and shorter cycles.

They're revealing everything besides Chasm: Curse of Kaine

In all seriousness though. How is originality this dead? Like, seriously?

There is no bottom. You think they’ve reached the bottom, then they tell the same bad story twice. There is genuinely no depths of suck this run will not plumb. Good god

At this point, I don't want to hear anyone try to argue that this isn't the worst run in Spider-Man's history. At least the Mackie era had that one issue where Peter took out all his grief over MJ's "death" by continuing to try and fight Hulk over and over.

Credit to Mackie. I never felt like he wasn’t trying. I can’t say that about this run. This is just absurd
