I got the Hawaii Initiative...

Nova (Richard Rider)
Namorita

Turbo

Nova finally finds Namorita. She is hiding in Hawaii. Surrounded by water, the islands are a great place for Nita to try and find herself. Is she a clone, is displaced in time, or all of the above? Upon finding each other, the couple decide that Rich could also use a break from the constant galactic battles he's been through and maybe some healing for his PTSD. Everything is peaceful and serene until the Mole Man and an army of kaiju attack Pearl Harbor. Nova and Nita are joined in battle by local heroes Loa and Mettle, as well as the vacationing Turbo, and Stingray, who is always cruising the Pacific Ocean.

The threat is defeated, but the Mole Man swears that he'll be back with even more giant monsters to take over the islands. The team agrees to stay together until they can resolve the situation, but they'll also be a part of the 50 State Initiative.

Hmm.... This is a pretty neat team idea. But, there was already one..... hmmmm....

Magnitude We have no idea IF there was even a real Magnitude... It'd be fun to retcon that the Skrull guy didn't really die though. :Þ But... the Skrull imposter seemingly didn't have his actual powers?
Star Sign New character, no idea what she can do.

(The Supernaturals had only previously appeared in an alternate reality mini-series where they were very different people.)



The team consists of ...
The Black Cat: Who's wondering why she's here, but is quick to stumble upon Louisiana's Thieves Guild
Gargoyle: Who acts as the older more well read mentor of the team
Doctor Voodoo: Who acts and team leader, while wondering how he got suckered into this while Dr. Strange gets left alone.
Ghost Rider: John Blaze, who is temporarily in control of the Ghost Rider ... but he's not sure for how long.
Satanna: Who is openly corrupt and loves the fact that somebody decided she's the law.
Werewolf by Night: The most normal crime fighter of the group as long as you consider eating people to be fighting crime.

For this team, Ironman basically went, "Look, spooky stuff happens in Louisiana. I'm going to write you guys down as protecting it and stay out of your way."

the only "no" rule I can think of is "no duplicates". However.... clones are kind of a cheat... but acceptable. The idea here is to have groups that you could have show up together in the same room, and be actual separate teams.

Loves the "state that time forgot" aesthetic of Wyoming, which allows her to live up to her name more.

Brought in to handle any mystical threats that might be lurking beneath the state's hardscrabble surface.

WOODGOD
As far as he's concerned, the less humans around, the better.

CADAVER
A violent, barren hero for a violent, barren land.

WILDSTREAK
Despite a lack of population there's a lot of ground to cover. Best to have a speedster onhand.

TAGAK THE LEOPARD LORD
Same rules apply, except with a tracker. Between Tagak and the leopard that serves as his eyes, Opar, they can find just about any foe foolish enough to run away.

Understood. I was hoping I could slide this through. My team just feels so much more organic.

And I can't help but to think just how freaking awesome it would be for me to be sitting at the beach and seeing Nova flying out of one of our volcanic craters! Um...hopefully one of our dormant ones.

Yeah, the actual initiative teams are kinda strange... Like the "Washington" team with is 3 guys who live in New York... What? Why?

honestly though reworking a team is a cool concept. I'm currently pondering the Arkansas team since it sort of has 3 members... but mostly just one guy (Razorback)

They appeared in one storyline in the 90s.
