It is funny, Marvels want A Spider-Man that always has the Parker luck, down on his luck, living meet ends, struggle fighting villains, you know the keeping the status quo.
While Jackpot became a hero base on the same or similar reason to her ex, which she made it clear she wants no part of him and her life does not revolve around him, got powers that has not been define or what their limits.
She is now talking like she knows what she is doing, with no experience to come in mind.
Do Marvel expect us to surmise that her time stuck in that AU world of four years make her that way, I would say she actually lost how the world works, she would not be in tune on what is going, also she is from Chicago not New York City even the length she lives in NYC.
,
Also I did find it strange in one panel, in ASM 45, the one they got naked in the park to change into their civilian clothes but neither had a bag, and Peter usually wear his civilian clothes over his Spidey suit.
Where she told him she stop a villain, and him telling her she is awesome, like Peter is approve what she is doing, or Marvel trying subliminal that we should go along with this.
First most of us already knows she is awesome and second she does not need to be a superhero to be awesome or amazing.
Umm… this is stupid. No fight in the world is going to distract security from black cat walking in wearing her costume. The casino in Vegas with the worst security has better surveillance than this place
That can't be Jackpot, those powers weren't pink.
"Has Sariel summoned you here, Azrael? Have you come to witness the miracle of your brethren arriving on Earth?"
"I WILL MIX THE ASHES OF YOUR BONES WITH SALT AND USE THEM TO ENSURE THE EARTH THE TEMPLARS TILLED NEVER BEARS FRUIT AGAIN!"
"*sigh* I hoped it was for the miracle."
Dan Watters' Azrael was incredible, a constant delight and perhaps too good for this world (but not the Forth). For the love of St. Dumas, DC, give us more!!!
I can't wait for all the negativity and criticism on here, about this series when it comes out tomorrow...all those who "know" what's best for the character MJ, poised to flame it, whether they actually read it or boycott it...

I have suggestions of other threads around tomorrow's new comics that might be more enjoyable:
Ultimate Spider-Man #3 is out tomorrow, I predict people will be very complimentary and happy with the issue in that thread.
I've heard ASM #46 is readable and doesn't induce rage - plus Carmen Carnero art - so perhaps that might also be a thread that would be more fun?
Edge of Spider-Verse #2 is also out tomorrow and I saw an advance review that enjoyed it, so again, perhaps a discussion around that issue might be fun to participate in?
And many people I know think Miles's book is on fire right now, and Miles Morales: Spider-Man #18 is a supersized 300th issue out tomorrow that I've also heard good things about - so perhaps that might be a better conversation as well?

^^^ I could see the USM #3 and Jackpot threads running neck and neck for commentary.
Most likely will see a positive post to USM followed by a quick negative 1 minute later to the Jackpot thread.
Tomorrow should be fun!
Believe it or not, this is a thread for discussion about "JACKPOT and BLACK CAT"..
USM is a very well written book with attention to character while setting up intriguing world building and has stellar artwork. The previews so far show we are in for more of the same, and the advance reviews have been five star raves.
Jackpot and BC's preview demonstrates...it has nice pin-up art, if that's one likes. Advance reviews are very sparse; the only one I've seen was okay positive but struggling to find highlights from a team that is usually super-enthusiastic about every book.

spoilers:end of spoilers
I can't believe they're using Paul to threaten MJ. Like anyone other than her actually cares what happens to him .
