Also, the whole "Felica walking around inside the casino in her Black Cat costume in front of people, with the intention to steal and no one bats an eye" thing is just jaw-dropping ridiculous. Also, the whole "friends are a new thing for me" is also ridiculous - SHE USED TO HAVE A TEAM OF FRIENDS stealing stuff, being a leader after all.
I wish they'd stop referring to MJ's 'powers.' She doesn't have powers, she has a tech bracelet. If she takes it off, she's just a regular person.
If Paul puts it on, he's Jackpot-Boy.
"He's pure power and doesn't even know it. He's the best of us."-Matt Murdock
"I need a reason to take the mask off."-Peter Parker
"My heart half-breaks at how easy it is to lie to him. It breaks all the way when he believes me without question." Felicia Hardy

This same thing applies to Green Lanterns. If you take away a Green Lantern's ring, they don't have any powers (unless we are talking about a specific GL that has powers without a ring like Sodam Yat but they still lack GL-specific powers).
I think that this writer needs a stronger hand guiding them. A little more familiarity with the characters would go a long way.

Her crew were not her friends, they were her employees. Completely different type of relation.
This is one of those things about comics that you have to overlook. Because we've seen so many "it's been X (amount of time) since" that nothing makes any sense at all. Marvel still claims the F4 made their debut 13 years ago in-universe. Marvel will always make sure it has been X amount of time because they will never say Peter is 30+.
I would overlook those issues if #31 had been published three of four years ago, but it's only been a few months. #31 was the issue where Felicia left Peter and MJ became Jackpot. I highly doubt Jackpot has been around for that long, but if so, it could also imply that Felicia cheated on Peter with her new girlfriend. I don't think Felicia cheated on him, but Marvel should be more thoughtful about the timeline.
This is...meh. It really doesn't feel like MJ. Not that MJ can't be a hero because Renew Your Vows did that very well.
There's just....absolutely nothing here that screams "Mary Jane." You could replace her with anyone and it would still work.
As for Felicia, I don't care that she's in a relationship, but again, I'd care about the character more if there were some build up to this. Same thing they did with her and Peter. Would have gone over better if we actually got some build up instead of "Oh hey, they're dating now, even though she's supposed to be completely over him."
Paul really doesn't bother me as much as he does some of you. Namely because I really don't care either way about him. He's not interesting enough for a response.
Marvel screws up the timeline stuff all the time. It's one of those things you have to overlook. There's a lot of weird decisions around this comic and this status quo for its lead characters, but getting bogged down in questions about the timeline feels like it's missing the forest for the trees.
