That's a good question. I don't know if it was officially confirmed.

Huh. I was under the impression Shinobi had washed his hands of Sebastian in favor of his bio dad Harry Leland. And vice versa from Shaw's perspective. I guess not.

Cassara is getting better at drawing human characters! Emma actually looks like a woman and not a Tiki statue.

Replace "muties" with "darlings" and it would actually make sense.

    Cassara's texture-evoking-line-work is so amazing.

Shadow/black placement is an essential tool to both direct the reader's eye and create a mood, but what Cassara does with his line work -- the variations in weight and uniformity is so beautiful. The hash marks and broken lines and wobbly waves are SO effective in really giving it a tactile FEEL. I love it so much. Its reminds me of old lithographs and plate etchings.

Was going to say, looks great but Emma using "Muties" seemed far too pedestrian even if she's being ironic turning a pejorative term in her sarcasm...

It definitely is and honestly… I think Emma WOULD be the character to try to reclaim a mutant slur.

I think it falls flat because they aren’t going to brunch… they’re heading into the final battle to try to avoid genocide.

On one hand I can totally see Emma wanting to be provocative by saying the equivalent of the n and f words, but on the other hand it seems a tiny bit below her. I'm torne (not too much, it's just comics).
I think it's just Duggan's writing that grates me.
