Thanks. If it doesn’t appear in the top 200, I’m left relying on solicitations to find out what was released. I guess the website I went to got it wrong.

I don’t want to say anything to upset Jamie Reyes fans (particularly when there is a lack of Hispanic representation in the DCU), but personally….

I preferred Blue Beetle as a street fighting hero dropping in on villains from his bug.

That doesn’t mean I’m advocating for Ted Kord, or Jamie Reyes to be replaced….I’d be happy with Reyes as a street fighting vigilante, but….I'm sure his fans wouldn’t.

You know, I have to confess, I was looking forward to Simon Spurrier on the Flash, and a colder, darker direction, but….I'm not sure it’s the best fit for him.

I think Spurrier is a good writer, I think his Contsantine is great, but he’s a bit old school wordy for a title that is usually fast paced, and somewhat uplifting.

I also don’t think it helped that DC went against fan wishes by replacing a writer who appeared to be a fan favourite, or that they initially did next to nothing to promote the return of Wally.

Art is important for casual fans and Flash has terrible artists for the past couple of years.

Almost unfair how Wally gets stuck with ugly art.

Despite my own issues with it, I guess Zdarsky's Batman run is a hit...though I hear Gotham War sold poorly as an event.

To be fair even during Joshua Williamson' run sometimes Barry could get spotty art.

    I stopped caring about sales.

    Same for TV Nielsen ratings.

Any business owner with an ounce of logic would know not to order books their customer's won't buy, so logically the numbers between the two should be close. Of course as we've learned, though, that's not always the case.

Print as a medium has been dying for years and no comic is going to pull in 90's-era numbers anymore. At least not without heavy assistance like when Marvel Star Wars #1 was in lootcrate boxes.

It didn't. It was solicited for February but got delayed. I think the Jay Garrick one was as well if I'm not mistaken.

GL still being in the top 50 nearly a year in *should* be a good thing, right?

It's a significant improvement over Thorne's run so I imagine DC is probably satisfied with it.

For Hal yes, I think sales expectations for Hal Jordan and John Stewart I imagine are quite different.

Both Green Lantern titles are selling ok. (Good numbers for a secondary Green Lantern title, if it's not a mini, I'd let it run for a bit, as PKJ is a really good writer)

Barry's Flash run have Christian Duce, Rafa Sandoval, Scott Kolins and Howard Potter

Meanwhile, Wally's run what you got instead: Mike Deodato jr, (Sorry artstyle has went downhill a lot with all these dark shade facial and that).

Important to note about Blue Beetle is that it basically is a issue 12 instead of 6. The team is the same as the Graduation mini and it basically continues it.
DC also sell better in trades than Marvel.

TO be fair-what else was being released at the time of those books.

Along with how many variants did a book have.

Marvel tossed out 12 new books in Feb 2019. All were in the top 100 above Wonder Twins.
2014 same thing Marvel tossed out 9 new books. Including Fantastic Four, Daredevil, She Hulk, Ms Marvel and New Warriors. All of them were top 100. She Hulk was number 62.

The point is just because a book is listed at a number that does not mean sales went down. It can mean other new books push them down and the numbers stated close to the same. Along with the chart position changing overtime.

In 2014 Batwoman had 20K and was 100. In 2019 that number would make her number 87. In 2020 she would be 90 and beating Aquaman.
