From any variation (including All Star Squadron stories), what is your favorite Justice Society of America storyline?

    Starman issue 11

    "13 Years Ago: Five Friends"
Shade writes in his journal how many years ago, Starman, Green Lantern, Hourman, Flash, and Dr. Mid-Nite fought off Ragdoll and his minions from Opal City. Even though Ragdoll was killed during the confrontation, his body disappeared from the morgue the following day.

GREAT ISSUE with some cool JSA stuff.

    Favorite Characters:
DC: The Flash (Jay & Wally), Starman- Jack Knight, Stargirl, & Shazam!.
MARVEL: Daredevil, Spider-Man (Peter Parker), & Doctor Strange.

    Current Pulls: Not a thing!

    The Hunt For Extant - JSA #13 - 15.

This was my favorite lineup in the 1999 revival with the different generations. Plus, it had Kent Nelson, Dove, Mordru, and Metron. A nice ending to the Extant character as well.

Dark Reign (or was it called Black Reign?). Culmination of a lot of storylines and it was epic.

Black Reign! Such a great story.

Too bad they bastardized it for the Black Adam movie.

Honestly, the first Injustice Gang story from way back in the day. I've always been a chump for the super-gang rumbles, and that was the OG.

I love most of the JSA stories but tend to like the Earth 2 setting.

Add Earth X and you have a winner.

Justice League of America #107-108 (1973)
    “Crisis on Earth-X!”
    “Thirteen Against the Earth!”
By Len Wein, Dick Dillin, and Dick Giordano

This would probably count as my favorite JSA story, my favorite JLA story, and my favorite Freedom Fighters story.

this is one of my picks as well. that run had a lot of pretty good arcs

Virtue & Vice + Crisis x5 were JLA titles but had great JSA appearances in both

I'm blanking on the issue numbers, but part of the All-Star Squadron run focussed on the story of the Freedom Fighters on Earth X, fighting Baron Blitzkrieg. I enjoyed those as a kid and still have fond memories of that entire series

The All-Star Squadron Annual, I think it was #3, that introduced the Karkull explanation for the slow aging of the JSA. Loved how Roy Thomas worked all the little continuity nods plus the whole team (including Batman & Superman) into that story.

The JLA/JSA team-up where they killed Mr. Terrific was another nice story (if you overlook the death).

Almost any of the 1970's All-Star/Adventure stories- but that is because they were my introduction to the team.

I usually give a list of favorites (and I probably will, later on), but here, there is just one single story that sums up my love for the JSA and the Golden Age Heroes:
The Ultra-Humanite Saga in All-Star Squadron #16;18; 21-26 and Annual #2 by Roy Thomas and Jerry Ordway.

    Peace
