Because Disney keeps inflicting these stupid covers on people even though the characters on the cover are almost never who actually never appear in the comic. What makes this whole thing even dumber is that Marvel does not even regularly publish comics with Disney animated characters choosing to lease them out to another company.

Have you noticed this shows another new mask for Janine? This time is a mask of Jason Voorhess.

Yeah, seems most of her masks have the horror element to them... fitting theme, with the hallows eve name. Also, they better keep Janines nuance from her minis... she's, to me, easily been the most interesting character out of this chasm stuff.

...You know, this preview does actually make me wonder, will Janine have a role to play in Chasm: Curse of Kaine, or will she not be in it? It'd honestly be a missed opportunity to not have her considering the history she and Kaine have.

Blood Hunters and a new July solicits make it sound like she'll apart of that team going forward. So Wells is going full circle potentially with and Ben. He put them together so he'll do the other thing as well

They definitely sounded like they were gearing up to split them up or something as early as Hallow's Eve - the writer for her mini (I forget her name, my bad) said before #1 got released "people could be surprised" at Ben's reaction when Janine met him again, and yet we saw nothing like that when they reunited. Wouldn't be the first time since Ben returned that Marvel changed plans in short notice either.

In a way it's a good thing MJ isn't in the event, but also this event feels like it's trying to do whatever to characters that don't get much lime light

Nothing says trying to spin a character as a solo character like breaking them up with their only romantic attachment...especially if it screwed Ben over.
