Nothing more Japanese than going on a supernatural adventure with a white-haired girl.
Is that white person with the earrings supposed to be storm?
Storm is in Ultimate Black Panther.
Also while this isn’t from #2, the variant covers for #3 are out, looks really cool!
The last 2!
Difficult to read, but I believe there is something like "Nico tells people she killed her toxic mom and then her father left her, but everybody thinks she's lying". Also "she's earning money doing some mysterious dark job, maybe witchcraft related"
Bringing back the old, killing the young: that's the Marvel way
Nah.
It turns out that Hisako isn't a real mutant/human but a sapient organic armor of flesh and bone formed around the true mutant who's body turned into a gem like stone when her powers activated 400 years ago and has since then lived inside the chest of multiple such shells.
Once revealed, the entire story will flash back to her personal story for 12 issues.
However because Hisako's body contains it's own X-gene she has an immitation of the true mutants powers in form of being able to form a hardlight shell around herself.
12 issues is not enough. Momoko needs to be as lost as we are when we return to the story. Or we just timeskip. Enough years that the story is now about kids from the original characters, who we barely got to know in the first place. We then spend the rest of the story skipping back and forth between present day, memories of Hisako when she was in school and also from when she was a younger kid and she saw things that she has forgotten. These things will be integral to the identity of the shadow man but when we get around to the reveal everyone will be so bored that it doesn’t matter anymore.
Edit: was it D.gray-man among other things you referenced?

I'm just waiting for the multiversal war between the MCU, 616, 6160 and the new 1610 dimensions, when the Maker tries to find Valeria's dimensional counterparts to fuse them into their original self, while trying to stop Magik - who has mastered mutation, magic, spider-powers and technology - from becoming Zarkchyld and ending the multiverse.
We should be getting that after the tournament arc, the 4th Shinobi Shaw War arc, the Latveria Incident arc, and the Chimera Mutant arc.
