Exactly. I feel that it was a poor and shoe-horned decission to make her a mutant, all the fear and hated stuff seems pretty random on her and forced and doesn't fit her at all.

I like the idea of people who used to like her starting to hate her because she's a Mutant now. It's like how a lot of kids grew up watching the X-Men in the 90s finding out they are actually on the Friends of Humanity side.

They are the only reason why I would take interest in the book. Hope that Anole is properly written and not as a whinny kid like in the last years (thanks Brisson for that characterization).

Laura and Ms. Pretender are a waste of space and they could have picked other characters for the cast. Blonde girl is probably Kiden Nixon, which I think it's a meh option.

So yeah, only reason I care for this book is for David and Victor.

I didn’t caee for Ms Marvel. Making her a mutant in an obvious marketing push to get me to like her has made me actively dislike her being forced.

I'm torn because I feel the vibe of book Laura is normally in is very different than the vibe of book Kamala is in. But I'm open. Very happy to see Prodigy especially if indeed that's him.

Same. Laura deserves better IMO. This looks “mid” as my kids would say. But I’m not the target demo for it, so hope it finds its audience. Will safely pass on this one.

I will say, it’s very clear that this “back to basics” approach is going for a return to Marvel’s “world right outside your window” feel with this relaunch. Not that that’s a bad thing. Makes sense with the mutants joining the MCU soon. Just doesn’t bode well for continuity heavy characters.

On the one hand, Kamala is finally back in her classic costume! But I wonder if this is a last ditch attempt to keep her relevant as a Mutant when it could've gone to more relevant characters.

I guess this is going for a kind of a young adult Superhero vibe. Kind of curious what kind of tone/style they'll go for.

Laura's new suit is...something.
