At this point Goku and Vegeta should both be stronger than Broly on their own, as they were able to at least compete with Granolah, who was explicitly the strongest mortal in the universe, due to wishing to be so on the Dragonballs. (tho IIRc he's not stronger than Frieza, because he wasn't in the universe at the time the wish was made IIRc)

Yeah, Frieza was in a Hyperbolic Time Chamber, which either counted as a different dimension or the dragon couldn't take that into account. Or Frieza just entered it after the wish was made. Granolah just sat around and waited a long time for a dude who only had a few years left to live.

Maybe. They have been training Broly to better control his anger (and thus his power) which would allow him to become, well, even stronger. I mean, Gogeta had to go Blue to get the needed power difference over Broly in order to ensure victory. But even that may have been only temporary, if things had continued differently. Remember how Broly would suddenly make MASSIVE leaps in power and skill before he went berserk? Yeah. When Broly maintains his calm and mind, he not only overpowers, but is able to go skill to skill (like copying, and reversing, Goku's paralysis technique).

For Freeza... yeah. He went into the equivalent of the Spirit and Time Room for 10 years, I think it was. So, maybe 10 days prior to his appearance. And the fish guy did say that the "strongest would appear", but never confirmed it being Granolah or the other guy.

This thread makes me wonder: how does the average Viltrumite fair against the average Namek in battle? How many Viltrumites would it take to conquer Planet Namek?
We are the Dora Milaje. We are the daughters of the 18 tribes of Wakanda. We are the teeth of the Panther God. Out of 10,000 years of sweat and bloodshed and battle are we born. We are the women of this ancient land. Deadliest of the species. And our time has come!

Well, there are two distinct groups, the Warriors and the Dragon Clan. The warriors, well, self-explanatory. The Dragon Clan has the capability to make Dragon Balls. Doesn't mean they will, but they have capability to do so. And considering all Namekians are descendants of Guru, it seems the traits are kind of random. But if there are Namekians like Nail... Viltrumites will have a hell of a time. Nail was a LOT stronger than the others, and even most of the cast, bar Freeza (if memory serves right, which was bad luck for him). And the other Namekian warriors could easily take on Freeza's grunts. But starting at least with Dodoria on up, not so much.
