Foxley, but Tami was a very close second.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

    Time to tally the votes!

1 vote each: Attila Kiss, Bryan, CaptCleghorn, Englehart Humperdinck, Iron Maiden, MRP, seismic-2, Stony
    2 votes each: Nschornhorst
    3 votes each: Tami
    4 votes each: foxley

And our winner with five votes----KIRBY101!

As always, if anyone wants to double check my tally, feel free!

    Darn! Pipped at the post!

Oh well. Congrats to kirby101, and I guess our takeaway from this is that Michael Golden draws a damn fine helicopter.

Thanks to nx01a, LordMikel, Dalak and--ironically--kirby101 for almost getting me over the line.

    Congratulations, Kirby101!

Thanks all. Yes foxley, Golden draws a great copter. As soon as I saw the contest I knew I would post a Golden cover.

I'll post a new one before noon.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
