I'd love to see memes of that with different sidekicks kind of in the vein of the "Captain America says Hail Hydra" memes.

Hopefully Diop is steering clear of genre internet boards as well.
For my money, the powered up images of Kory look pretty damn good.

That girl is going to take so much **** because of that role, i feel kinda bad for her.
And none of it is her fault. She's beautiful, they just apparently have a really shitty costume department.

what exactly is everyone's issue with Starfire
it was confirmed by SEVERAL people who saw the screening of the first episode that her outfit is literally from a 70's themed disco party
her and her powers look fucking sweet in the trailer
so what is it?? what are people possibly mad about? her hair? is that what all of this is about? freakin HAIR? because that would be childish
God what a train wreck that was.
I do think that every interpretation of Starfire should pass the Teen Titans cartoon check, basically that I can draw a narrative line between animated Starfire (the most popular version of the character by far) to that interpretation.
If that means the "but muh 80s wet dreams" version has to die, so be it.
They've got the eyes right at least, but the wig just really doesn't work.
I also don't really care for her powers being expressed like flamethrowers compared to the traditional starbolts.
She was already a popular character but I think the 2003 Teen Titans cartoon really cemented her as a popular character in popular culture overall, so it makes sense that people would be very passionate or have a lot of opinions on her (sometimes bad ones, but that's fandom for you).
