I don't think that incantation stripped Rasputin of her powers, it was Mother Righteous just binding her long enough for Charles to incapacitate Rasputin. Xavier made it seem like he needed her taken out for a while so he could continue his plan without too many obstacles. Now, I do believe Mother Righteous will somehow use Rasputin against them...which may indeed lead to Rasputin's final death.

Maybe not ,but then when you think of Rasputin's powers that all can prevent whatever projectile coming her way from creating blood splatter- phasing, force fields, steel skin(from cursory view) ,telepathy to prevent Xavier from 'freezing' her (like he did Shaw in the First Class film) I concluded it is a power stripping or power dampening spell(..temporary by the way lest you think I meant a permanent power loss). Who knows, maybe I am wrong and her healing may kick in and Xavier has a few minutes to do what he has to. Xavier to still remain in play ,she's got to be incapacitated for a much longer while than a mere trap spell otherwise he is dead man.I highly doubt she is purged of Sinister's control.I do think either MR or Enigma may put her under their control somehow. Gillen already had Sinister substituting the real Kate Kildare wiith a clone but hiding his personality till the coast was clear and revealing this to Scott. I'd bet Gillen is leaving a loose end somewhere.Rasputin being free of Sinister's control seems suspicious ,knowing Gillen's Essex fixation.

I do I'm hoping she gets rezzed with everyone else the Five are going to bring back.

Me as well, i thought she had potential. Like Cable and Bishop this isn't her timeline. But she was dedicated to the cause.

this annoys me mostly because the art is completely unclear or misleading about what is happening here.

Page 2: Rasputin swings sword at Xavier, who previously had the gun in his right hand. Now he has no gun and is completely uninjured by the slashing sword. So... Rasputin slashed at the gun, didn't break it, made Xavier drop it somewhere behind the sound effect?
Page 3, Panels 1 & 2: Xavier has no gun, and it is not on the ground within arm's reach.
Page 3, Panel 3: a already standing uninjured Xavier has the uninjured gun in his hand. I suppose this is somewhat remedied by the scripter's balloon in which he says he is moving into position (he is 99.9% of the way done with that motion)

Just not very fluid choreography or blocking the scene. And it kinda implies that Rasputin is a failure who is rage-blind when she attacks him?

i think the gun is there just maybe the colorist messed up because you can see the outline
