    That would be cool.

A long time ago, two groups of refugees flee from a fascist empire's conquest of their worlds (in a galaxy far, far away). They separately arrive on a planet whose dominant lifeform was extinguished in a meteor strike. One side consists of proto-humans (including some who will be remembered as wizards), and the other a variety of bugs, machines and other entities (who will be remembered as demons and monsters). The wars, which the proto-humans win, will shape multiple mythologies all over the planet.

An Asian boy was sent by his adopted American father for a well rounded education.

dubbed Montana (Monty by his friends), he should be having epic adventures with his half-brother Mutt, in a series called Relic Dogs.

It would take place in 197x with that touch of strangeness where they have a few forest gump moments while hunting relics and stealing heavily from 70's tv.

I would give Monty and Mutt a Smothers Brothers like tone where they are always trying to one up each other, while still caring for one another.

Monty is the scholar but he's still got a bit of the street rat in him.

Mutt is the muscle and plays almost a Brendan Frasier role in their adventures. He also is more often then not the guy expected to drive everything, even if he just saw the strange machine seconds ago.

Both have questionable ethics are usually involved in a get rich quick schemes on top of trying to preserve history, but they got good hearts that get in the way of their endevors.

as for the adventures themselves, steal from an episode of "In search of" and go nuts.

Hire a Leonard Nimroy imitator for the announcer.

and their archnemesis/rival will be played by Josh Gates.

Here's one the movie starts off as a Purge film and instead of the "hero" characters we follow the villains who are going to use to Purge to break into a House full of expensive items with a recluse. Once they break in, we see the owner and it's Macaulay Culkin as Kevin Mccallister.

Passage to Martinique: Samuel Dooley, an aging - but still militant - American Civil Rights activist arrives in 1953 Morocco as the country begins to boil with resistance to French Colonization. Known to have fought in the Spanish Civil War, and with the OSS during WWII, he rapidly draws the hostility of local authorities, suspicious that the CIA may be tampering in their affairs. It turns out he's there only at the request of an old friend, prostitute Yvonne Lebeau; she wants him to help her get out of the country with her 10 year-old son, Yves, before the place explodes. After some harrowing adventures, during which some of Samuel and Yvonne's old comrades from the French underground are killed, the three escape on a ship bound for Martinique. Samuel downplays Yvonne's gratitude, telling her that it's the least he could do for the boy's never-named father, and turns to the ship rail humming "As Time Goes By," while Casablanca recedes in the background of the ship's wake.
