I have actually been enjoying the read. I do wish Capt. Marvel would have been able to showcase her powers a bit more but I really enjoyed the humor and the story nonetheless. Hopefully we will see her go up against a worthy opponent soon. In the meantime I'm enjoying the banter between her and Rocket about her cat. Or should I say the Flerkin!

I am hoping the extra attention means they are positioning her for her own movie soon. I want to see a kick ass female super hero in the theaters.

    You will. In 2016.

Her name is Wonder Woman. The most kickass female super hero of them all.

Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Hey, Kelly! Remember that lunatic Grace Valentine you introduced in the previous volume? You still owe us a proper conclusion to that, and instead you're putting it all off just so Carol can play space-cop.
She is Kamala Khan... The Magnificent Ms. Marvel!

This is an editorially mandated direction. Carol joined the Guardians of the Galaxy, thus Carol must be in space....Kelly has flat out said this was not the direction she would've taken the book.

    Yeeeaaah, me too.
Plus, I want a woman headlining her own movie, not a prop to some dudes.

While i would love a great wonder woman movie i have no faith DC can provide it. At this point i fear all they can do is make a terrible movie and then all the studios can stand around and say "see girl heroes don't sell"

The attention means nothing if the writing keeps being pedestrian...
Captain Marvel, you are our only hope...

I haven't read the interview yet, but the series having more conventional artwork since the relaunch has been a joy. Lopez has been a rock solid choice for the book and Takara looks like a great relief pitcher. I'm glad we've put the days of Soy and Andrade behind us.

Interesting. I'll probably pick it up in trade. Glad Captain Marvel is still going strong.
