The way things are appear to be going, characters with a cosmic connection seem to be the ones getting a push, because of the movies. And that's actually the one area Namor hasn't done much in. IIRC, there was a story where Triton was on a mission to a water planet, but it was only one issue.

Yeah, I don't think Namor is going to remain in the world destroy mode for much longer.

Okay, this is kind cool, especially since we haven't gotten Namor in any games the last couple of years. There's a Sub-Mariner Slot Machine casino game! I never knew it existed. Has anyone played it?

More screen shots and a video of someone playing the game are here: http://www.casinoportalen.com/sub-ma...machine-review

Besides the regular spinning stuff, there's this bonus game feature. From a review at: http://www.marvelslots.com/slot-revi...b-mariner.html

The bonus game from the Sub-Mariner slots is going to be available the moment you manage to hit 3 or more scatter symbols. After that you will get the chance to select any 3 Warships from the 6 that are available and you have to also select the Sub Mariners. Each of the selection that you make is going to reveal either credits or free spins. This bonus game is definitely going to be a positive experience for you since you will be given the chance to have the prizes doubled during the game and the credit prizes are also multiplied by the triggered bet. This is happening in order to make sure that you are having a very rewarding experience.

Looking at the list of characters that have a slot game, it's pretty clear that they are movie characters. I think Namor's game came out in 2008, which would have been around the time that Universal was seriously developing the Subby film.

Though, apparently, it (and the rest of the Marvel Slots games) won't be lasting much longer, as Disney is planning on not renewing the license on these games. I'm not sure if it's just for the US, or if you can still find it at non-US online casinos.

    Ha! It's Raining Ships!

I do like the domes over the cities. You'd think the Atlanteans would start thinking about something like that considering the stuff that falls on them.

I would never do this casting in a million years, but .... Jeff Goldblum Namor.

Which was inspired by this gif of Jeff Goldblum doing exactly this.

It certainly is! Reminds me of Namor telling Osborn off in Dark Avengers.

Sadly, there doesn't appear to be any Invaders or FF tomorrow. Since they don't release the previews, I can't keep track of Avengers. I'm not holding my breath for another Namor appearance until the Avengers try to take care of the Cabal. I think it's Mapmakers and Black Priests, right now.

Congrats on reaching 100 pages! I'm happy to see the thread has been moving along lately. I have much to catch up on.

Great find on the casino game. I'd never heard of it either.

    Rolling on to 200 pages! : )

I sent six hours yesterday watching the first two Hobbit movies, because I got to see an earlier screening of The Hobbit War of Five Armies tonight. I thought last year, after watching Thandruil in Desolation of Smaug, that Lee Pace was a definite possibility for my list of actors who could play Namor. After seeing the third movie tonight, where Thandruil gets tons more screen time, and basically kicks butt while sporting the superior kingly attitude, he's definitely earned his place on my very short list. What really sold it for me, was how everyone was giving Thandruil crap over his attitude and decisions, but they ended up showing they were ignorant of Thandruil's history and motivations or Thandruil turned out being right. Sound familiar? LOL!

And where have I heard this attitude?

The answer to one of those six artist questions I posted from the Marvel Fun Book.

    Marie Severin!

LOL! That's going to hurt. Especially when those helmets get broken.

Finally another Namor appearance! From FF 642. I'm not sure what the teams battling are -- it might be a 3-way fight between the Invaders, SHIELD, and the FF, but he's slugging it out with the Thing, here.

Also, someone requested a meeting with Doc Green? Is this him?

Also, Fantastic Four 12 will be out next week, and it should have a Namor appearance.

Lee Pace is definitely my go-to-guy for a list of Namor actors.

I'm glad to hear someone else sees the potential of Lee Pace. I think he's a great actor and have enjoyed his work since Pushing Daisies.

Oddly, I've considered Richard Armitage (Thorin) for Namor also, and he may look more like Namor, but I think Lee Pace does the arrogance better.

He's even done the Schiti hair cut before, in The Fall and in GotG.
