Richard doesn't have Lee's natural arrogance on-screen. The dude might be a really humble guy for all I know, but he sure knows how to switch it off the cameras.

I agree. Richard Armitage's arrogance portrayal, as we've seen with Thorin and other roles, is more an aloofness, because he doesn't trust others / has been wounded. Arguably that could apply to some versions of Namor. But Lee Pace's arrogance portrayal, as we've seen with Thandruil and Halt and Catch Fire, is more innate, that of a born and bred Prince of the Realm.

And yes, Lee Pace can definitely turn it on and off. The Piemaker from Pushing Daises is like the anti-Thandruil. I think both actors come across as pretty nice, approachable guys in real life.

What a great idea! But I'm not going to get an aquarium to display my Namor action figures. I have to draw the line somewhere. ; p

Yes, it would be. I'll put giant salt water tank on my list of things to get when I win the lottery. : )

It turns out that Marvel actually has aquarium figures, but somehow neglected to add Namor to the line! WTF?

I did find some cosplay Namors at the Georgia Aquarium, though. Though, I think they needed a gender bender Sue Storm ... though, would that could be Johnny Storm?

A house ad for the beginning of Jae Lee's arc in the 90s Namor.

Which makes me wonder, why is Namor prone to amnesia? Did he have amnesia in any of the Golden Age stuff or is his intro to the Silver Age the first time?

I don't think a single comic could handle the 'sass' of this team. I love how Namor is looking at that little bird. LOL!

Anka is right, it would be FUN! The bickering would exceed the Namor / Hulk bickering of the Defenders.

And Anka isn't the only one who has noticed the resemblance between Namor and Northstar -- who have had a few encounters. There was this fun mock / parody magazine cover.

March looks like a disappointing month for Namor fans. He's not on any covers, nor are we getting any collections featuring him.

Thankfully, James Robinson is using Namor in his FF issue. I'm obviously going to have to read up on Sleepwalker.

    FANTASTIC FOUR #644

    • Will SLEEPWALKER lead SUE, JIM HAMMOND and NAMOR into a nightmare scenario?

Most the Namor fans I've met, love the character, but have a wonderful sense of humor about Namor also.

    .

I agree with that. And Namor is happy to hand out the advice to those less knowledgeable. ;p

So, of course, I had to track down this mention. I didn't find it, but I did find this. Another creator interested in a Namor book. : )

Holy smoke! that Samnee headshot is great! Very evocative of Everett's sleek Namor. I am wholly unfamiliar with Joe Carmagna, but if he's keen on Namor I'd be interested to know what his pitch would be.
