    Default VILLAINS! Your Thoughts On: ANGLE MAN!

    Angle Man seems to be the Wonder Woman villain that has the most minor cameo appearances. We know that he now exists in the New 52 through cameos in the Superman/Wonder Woman book. But will we ever see a major appearance of the villain again?

    I do have to say that Phil Jimenez's Angle Man is the best depiction of the character, by far. Angle Man, to be honest, is a bit of a joke. Jimenez took him and made him suave, dapper, and charming, despite his villainous inclinations. I really wish that depiction was used for the New 52 rather than the corny green and yellow body suit with the porn mustache he sports.

    What does everyone else think about Angle Man?

    I'm pretty sure he's my least favourite recurring Wonder Woman villain

    I also hate how they took him from a suave sexy Italian to some creepy guy. He could've been Donna Troy's Catwoman or sth but they made him into a bland lameo ={

    I voted for "Love him! One of my favorite villains ever!" but he's not one of my top 10 favorites. I have liked every version of him so far and would love to see him get an arc of Superman/Wonder Woman where he was the main antagonist.

    I don't know why he gets so much ridicule. He's a gimmick-based villain like Weather Wizard, the Monocle, Mr. Freeze, Javelyn, etc. yet I don't see any of them getting ripped on constantly. I think it's just that he's a Wonder Woman villain and is found to be inferior because his main nemesis is a woman.

    Well he has the power to manipulate special dimensions which is a really amazing power if used to it's full potential. He also has a "plan for every angle" which mean that he should have batman level prep skills. Keeping him as "suave, dapper, and charming" is a good direction for his personality. He also needs good villainous motivations. In the pre-crisis comics seems he was mostly just interested in petty crimes, or revenge on Wonder Woman. Those just won't cut it now a days.

    I think he would be great to bring back as one of her central rouges though since it's nice to have at least one with a bit of that silver age feel to them. Personally I'd like to see them change his name to "The Angle" though. I think it's a bit better.

    Those are some great ideas for the Angle Man. Hopefully some creator at DC uses them soon.

    I always thought that guy in the WW tv show that first greets diana and got her into doing those shows where she blocked the bullets for money would be a good origin for him.

    Also its nice to have a non sexist male villain. His "suave-ness", for lack of a better term, is cool but i think if they write it wrong it can come off way too creepy.

    I would change him into a bit more magical criminal, like he could magically see the future and plots crimes and heists using the information he gets and creates angles so he could reap the riches while manipulating the heroes and his allies into following the angle. So to simplify it just a mysterious suave man who uses his ability to see into the future to commit big heists/scores.

    A revamp idea I have for the Angle Man is to give him the ability to be the only person capable of figuring out the "angle" of being able to get past Diana's "bullets & bracelets" blocking maneuver and hitting her with his Angler's rays just about every time.

    I think it should be revealed that Angle Man and the Getaway Genius (Roy Reynolds) are brothers. Maybe it was and this is a repressed memory.

    Maybe straight up villainy isn't right for him as a Wonder Woman foe. Maybe he can straddle the line between good and evil...or that he's a straight up Robin Hood, robbing from the rich and corrupt to give to the poor (while taking a percentage for himself). Maybe the object for Diana is to defeat him without necessarily allowing his victims to benefit.

    What did everyone think of him being Vadal Savage's son? I liked Jimenez's Italian romeo angle better and disliked the bombshell reveal of his parentage only for him to be killed off at the end of the story.

    That was, in a word, HORRIBLE. It made absolutely no sense at all and to have such a major change done to the character only to kill him off at the end of the story was just silly. I hope Tomasi never goes near another Wonder Woman story again.
