He's never really had a problem with Beast or any other Gold Side X-Men. They're the ones that have a problem with him. He's helped Beast and the others out plenty of times post-Schism.

What's there to betray? The Illuminati have already been outed, they're public enemy #1. And it's not like Cyclops is an enemy of the Illuminati in any way or a friend of SHIELD or the Cabal.

My guess is, Beast goes to the NXS to hide from SHIELD and/or the Cabal.

I can't believe I'm only just realizing this BUT why exactly is this the cover for Avengers 38 as opposed to one of the New Avengers issues coming out in October Neither beast or Cyclops have anything to do with Avengers proper so this is somewhat befuddling to me.
