That's not at all how the DC Multiverse works. Maybe that's how the Kurtaverse works, or Hypertime, but not DC.

Agreed. Loved the previous DCU, love the new 52. I was reading when they rebooted for CoIE, and enjoyed what came after. Was reading for Zero Hour, and enjoyed what came next. Same with Infinite Crisis. Enjoying a universe before a reboot doesn't mean the new one is any less enjoyable.

Yeah but I want DC to stick to their guns, instead of giving in to the complaints of nostalgic fans and by revisiting the Pre New 52 universe, they are doing exactly that.

DC Comics didn't make it over 75 years by not being nostalgic. Why would they start now?

Right now DC is putting out some of their best product in a while. I'd rather they focus on continuing this instead of catering to the tiny, but very vocal minority.

You'll find that DC has put out "some of their best product in a while" a lot before now, as well.
Comics didn't magically get better in 2011.

They may have some great comics now but they've had great comics before, too.

Things like the Satellite League, Wolfman/Perez's New Teen Titans, Levitz's Legion, Ostrander's Suicide Squad, Miller's Batman: Year One and Dark Knight Returns, Gaiman's Sandman, Moore's Swamp Thing and Watchmen, Morrison's Doom Patrol, Brubaker and Rucka's Gotham Central, Giffen and DeMatteis' JLI/JLE, Perez's Wonder Woman, Wagner's Sandman Mystery Theatre, Thomas's All-Star Squadron, Johns' JSA, Robinson's Starman, Moore's Promethea, Azzarello and Risso's 100 Bullets, Cooke's New Frontier... I could go on.

And one day, the best parts of the last few years, such as Batwoman and Azzarello's Wonder Woman, will join the ranks of those high marks while the rest will be forgotten.
Especially when new readers come in and New52 is but a part of DC's past to them, and whatever DC is doing then will be what matters.

Wonder Woman was not wiped from DC history

Dick Grayson was ONLY Robin

Barbara Gordon was never shot

Barry Allen did not die

Kara Supergirl did not die

JSA originated in 1940 (75th anniversary in 2015!) and lived on original Earth 2

Well you get the idea! I am 44 and 70s and 80s were my DC days! Hopefully the NEW 2015 CRISIS can fix things! Where have I heard that before?

At this point its easier to assume that Blue/Gold are carbon copies of JLI run that exist in some specific universe rather than assume that this is pre-flashpoint universe. After all we don't have Legion in Justice League 3000 which should be present if this was actually pre-flashpoint universe.
