Daredevil Energy Drink? WTH?!

First of all does anyone know if this is an actual drink?

If you don't know what I'm talking about, there's a variant cover for today's Daredevil and the site I usually buy comics from is selling it for $300.

What's so special about this energy drink cover that it's more expensive than any Daredevil cover I've ever seen? Is there a real DD energy drink coming out, and if so, why DD? Mark Waid made a point to establish that Matt Murdock is a health foods type of guy.. he would never touch an energy drink, am I right?

Heh. Don't know why the site you mentioned is selling that variant for $300. It's just $12-15 on mycomicshop.com. It is just a variant but apparently they will be selling Daredevil SK energy drinks at NY Comic Con. Don't think Daredevil would approve of them though.

Daredevil is a great modern age symbol of populism activity. We can liken him to Pat Garrett (the great Old West lawman who became an icon for his tracking of the notorious Billy the Kid).

Why not make a Daredevil energy drink the way they made Wheaties breakfast cereals with Michael Jordan as the box cover spokesman?

Isn't America sweet?
