FAQs: Library Editions and Omnibuses

This thread is here to answer whatever questions you may have about the Library Editions or the Omnibus Editions. If you're going to ask a question, please read through previous posts just in case it's already been posted and answered. Here's a few of the usual ones for now.

What do the Library Editions contain?
You can find that information on the Hellboy Wiki. And here's a link for the contents of the Omnibus Editions.


When's the next Library Edition coming out?
No idea. We'll have to wait and see.


Will Lobster Johnson be collected in omnibus editions?
Yes, it will. However, it won't happen until the series is complete.


What about the rest of the Hellboy Universe? Will those trades get collected in hardcover formats too?
Mike Mignola and Scott Allie have discussed one day having everything collected in hardcovers, but these discussions are very tentative at best. For now, the answer is... maybe someday. Editor Katii OBrien has indicated we may see Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. omnibus editions in the near future.


A Library Edition is out of print...
Don't worry, Dark Horse tries to keep these volumes in print, so if you wait it'll return to print again.


An Omnibus Edition hardcover is out of print...
Sadly there are no plans to reprint these. For now, once the hardcovers go out of print, the reprints will be paperbacks.
