Brilliant. Good for X-Men, for Bryan, for many of us and good on Fox.

Looking forward to it some of the most for 2016 - even in a year with Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice!

    Well done for them.

Worst kept secret? Or did I just make an assumption based off of everything Singer has said between DoFP's release and today. FOX must be satisfied that he beat the accusations. Good for him and them!

My God, could it be possible? Two good X-Men movies in a row?

Nice! If he brings his A-game like he did on DOFP, then we 're gonna have another awesome X-Men film!

Until Singer proves that he can do a decent X-men movie that doesn't make Wolverine the center of the universe, he still belongs in the same corner as Joel Shumacher.

Most excellent! Days of Future Past was great, I can't wait to see what they do with Apocalypse!

He really and truly does not. Whatever about opinions, and focus with Wolvy, and all that, he is and will always be a talented filmmaker, who has made good - X-Men -, decent - Superman Returns -, great - X2 and DOFP - films.

He should be remembered, recognised and congratulated for all this and more.

The emotion, the spectacle, the humour, the so much is worth hundreds more than any amount of Jackman, or Wolverine - especially with the fact that there's never been a film without him, whether it was Singer, Ratner, or Vaughan.

Discarding, of course, Hood and The Wolverine director, given that it would be very unreasonable to expect a lack of focus on him in his own films.

I myself can only judge Singer for those films I mentioned and House, as Executive Producer, one of my favourite shows, up there with Supernatural and, yes, even Breaking Bad.

And, I'll defend Schumacher himself, even, due to my liking of Batman Forever, studio interference in Batman & Robin, apology to fans, Phone Booth with Colin Farrell and the large amount of time since then.

I'll never forget B&R, for better or worse, and I think few should, lest the mistakes of the past become those of the future.

But, he has earned my recognition and be that blasphemy of a kind, then count me a blasphemer.

    Agreed.

To date I have not seen DoFP (I have absolutely no intentions of ever watching it) and if the director insists on shitting all of the Apocalypse storyline as he did with DoFP (and FOX has done with the X-film franchise) then I won't be watching it either.

I didn't see any 'A' game at all to DOFP. The film was almost completely divorced from the source material it wasn't funny. Instead of a commentary on oppression (ie apartheid) the film was just a buddy film about Charles and Eric with Logan hitching a ride. And I suspect that with AOAA the same thing will happen. It will have nothing to do with the source material, just another SFX extravaganza with a thin story and the main X-Men playing wall paper. The only film I liked from Singer was the Usual Suspects and the first two X films. This decision really shows that money talks and everything else (namely good storytelling and creativity) gets turfed.

Errr have you not seen DOFP? Wolverine was only there as a plot device to go back in time, he done next to nothing in that film, which as a Wolvie fan left me slightly disappointed.
