PART 1 of 2
My wife and I have four cats and a foster cat that we are in the process of rehoming:
Here is Saku (short for Sakura -- we adopted him from someone moving out of the country. He already knew his name & reacted to it so we never renamed him). He's 9 1/2 years old.
This is Maggie. She's 7 years old. She was among a litter (three litters actually) of 13 kittens that my wife and I rescued. We kept her and her brother Yorick, who passed away a few years ago from F.I.P.
This is Bones. He's 5 years old. He was a rescue with two of his sisters. We rehabilitated the sisters and rehomed them, but Bones stayed with us.

PART 2 of 2
This is Spencer. He's 3 years old. We found him as a stray kitten wandering the parking lot of a shopping mall eating chicken bones from a discarded KFC box. He jumped right into my wife's arms and started purring and he's been gaining weight ever since.
This is Rocky. He's our foster. He was visiting my mother's front porch in South Philly every day just before Christmas. She thought he was a pregnant female. We took him in, got him his shots (he was already fixed) and have been working to rehome him since. Had someone interested but she fell through. He's destined to be a "one cat home" cat since he doesn't get along with other cats. I think I want to rename him Kif because he looks like the alien from Futurama.

My wife and I used to have a Siamese that loved to be picked up like that.
This is a shot of Kodos and Kang when they were adolescent kittens.
They were abandoned as kittens and we adopted them when they were 8 - 10 weeks old. My wife and I are both "cat people" and we both grew up with cats in the home. We have had two cats before these guys but this is the first time that we have had two cats at the same time. It is great to watch them interact. Sometimes gentle and affectionate and sometimes not so much.
In addition to four dogs, we also have a frog named Kermit, but it's hard to get good pictures of her because she has to stay in her tank all the time. When we got her, we were told they had a life expectancy of 6-7 years. That was back in 1995, and she's still with us!
On the left is Angel (in front) and Tiger. Both were brought home, a few years apart, from the shelter my mom runs. We joke that they are boyfriend and girlfriend, because they get along so well and are always playing together, and wherever Angel lays, Tiger lays right with her. It's really cute. On the right is Toasty, my brother's dog. He and his girlfriend got him when her parents' dog had a litter. Within a year, the girlfriend was gone and Toasty stayed with us.
In the backyard with Angel here is Abby, a stray my parents picked up on the side of the road in 2006. We spent weeks advertising with flyers and trying to find her owners, but had no luck, and eventually we were able to legally keep her.
Finally, this is Sandi (a Brittany), the only dog we got as a puppy. She passed away in September 2012, just a couple months after turning 14. She was our very first, so it was really hard to lose her. Fortunately, we didn't have to put her down, something we had always feared. She passed away in her sleep one day while we were out of the house, curled up in her favorite spot. She was such a good dog, and lived a long and happy life. I still miss her a lot.
