I'd go for the "everyone is wrong" approach. Avengers aren't building any bridges, the JGS is hopelessly mired in infighting, and Scott somehow thinks he's honoring Xavier by Helter Skeltering in Canada plotting a mutant uprising.

It's actually a little disturbing how many people feel that the X-Men direction should be to hunker into Weapon X and form a fringe militia.

Ultimately the writers are always to blame for everything. None of this characters Storm, Jean, Scott, Logan, Kurt etc.. ahve any agency. They are not people, we only talk of them as if they were.

The story took Captain America's side and will always take Captain America's side. It doesn't matter what real-world arguments you can use to justify Cyclops out-of-story, because in-story will always be on Captain America's side.

He has millions of times, I'm in agreement this question is tired and old and isn't making progression for this forum since every other thread boils down the same way EVERY TIME!
