Yesterday I preordered the New Frontier deluxe from SpeedyHen and I just got a despatch email. Which is strange because the book is not due until the 24th (17th in the US). Not that I mind though, I'm curious if they really depsatched it or it's just some automated email.

They released my green lantern Omni early too. I had only pre-ordered it a week before it's release, they didn't do that with my star wars omni though that I had pre-ordered for over a month.

Unfortunately, with today's books I've reached critical mass. Trying to keep a reasonable budget of ~$500 a month; I've quickly accumulated more books than I have space in a little over 3 years collecting. Filled up 40+ Expedit blocks, with a pile in front 3 Omnibus wide.

I'm going to have to start thinning the herd, as I promised my wife no new shelves...

I kinda started collecting in much the same way. I've gotten rid of many of my books by swapping them on comic swap in reddit. In the last month I've traded for New Teen Titans Omnibus vol 1 & 2, absolute promethea book 1, the entite Starman omnibus, Azzarello's WW vol 1-5.

If you want to acquire new books and get rid of some of those books you kinda regret buying, I highly suggest that subreddit.

aaand New Frontier just arrived. Strange, but I'm happy. The paperstock is odd it's matte which suits the artwork IMO I just expected glossy paper.

OK that just pi.... me off enough to finally pull the trigger. I just bought a used very good one for ~200 USD. This is crazy but I've been hunting this for over 2 years now. F.... it! I'll have to drink a few less beers in the next couple of weeks

I'm beside myself. Tried everything from calling almost every comic shop stateside in the hope that if they did cary it that it could be shipped to ordering from Amazon China. Three years later and I find one in my own back yard.
