Just a small one. Amazon emailed "Something you might be interested in" and it was Batman by Loeb & Sale Omnibus, new from a 3rd party seller for $64. I have passed on that book so long now that the lowest I have found it is CGN at $85 so I grabbed it. In my experience the 3rd party bookstores ship pretty well by Amazon standards but we will see. Since I was on Amazon I grabbed another book from my long Wish List and picked up X-Men:Age of Apocalypse - Termination TPB. It may not be the best but I love the Age of Apocalypse world and always wanted to see what happened on that world after Uncanny X-Force.

Now just to wait weeks for shipping!

I would love to purchase from Reed Comics, as they have some books I can't find in other shops anymore - but they charge £40 for shipping a single omnibus to Denmark, which is absolutely bonkers. For comparison, I placed an order earlier this week at Booksetc for 17 books (a big omnibus being among them) for a total of £9 in shipping costs.

Thanks for this. I took a quick glance and it looks like I will be able to save quite a bit of money in the long run by ordering from them compared to my usual place (Bookdepository).

Oh wow, 40 GBP is a lot. In the UK I get free shipping from Booksetc, Speedyhen and Amazon, and Reed Comics charge something like 2.69 GBP.

Cheap Comics are the ones with the expensive shipping to the UK.

Yeah Cheap Comics has expensive shipping, but at least it's flatrate - so it's all about making large orders. But I only buy sale items there, their regular prices aren't worth it.

You're welcome, I have good experiences with them. Best prices I can find where I'm not ripped a new one in shipping.

A little tip: the more books you buy, the cheaper shipping per book gets.

Only if it's from the same publisher and if it has the same timeframe (3-5 days or 1-2 days).

My library has been shut since lockdown began, so my parents felt sorry for me and had some books surprise delivered to me. A coupe more to come. Bless them

That was really nice of them. So have you actually cleared your backlog? You might be the only human on Earth to do it.

I've cleared my comic book backlog, but I still have some novels to get through I've heard good things about Bloom. The other two are Wonder Woman The True Amazon and Daytripper, the latter being one of I've meant to pick up for a long time.
