Been quiet for a while, but I have ordered some books yesterday:

- Usagi Yojimbo Saga Ltd Ed HC
- AMS by JMS Omnibus 1
- Mister Miracle HC
- Imperium Deluxe HC

During the last weeks, I pre-ordered some books on Amazon making use of their best-price guarantee:

- Iron Man Man in the Iron Mask Omnibus
- Absolute Swamp Thing 1

I was debating whether to upgrade my 2 Hawkeye OHC's for the Omnibus. It was going to cost me about an extra $20, and I wasn't sure if it was worth the cost just to have the same material between one cover rather than two.

But an awesome deal popped up on Ebay-- the Hawkeye Omni plus the Simonson Thor Omni for $106 shipped. I already have a first printing of the Thor Omni, but was trying to decide if I'd rather have the second printing with the graphic cover (rather than the faux leather) as well as the lighter, thinner paper. I figure I'll compare them and flip the one I decide not to keep.

I can understand the thinner paper for ease of reading and also creating more shelf space (although I usually prefer the quality paper) but IMHO nothing beats the faux leather cover

Btw, do you know the deal with Two-Fisted Tales Vol. 2? Will or did Dark Horse reprint it. I see Vol. 3 and Vol. 4 from DH but only the original Gemstone Vol. 2 available. Are there some license problems?

Haven‘t heard anything. I know that DH reprinted some other EC volumes, so if it‘s oop, it could happen. In any case, Frontline Combat vol. 2 will be out later this year, making the EC war titles complete.

Oh, and if you like the EC war books, be sure to check out Blazing Combat.

The war titles are the only EC material I’m interested in tbh.

I do own the first two Gemstone vols, yeah, but it messes a bit with my collector’s OCD as DH have changed the spine design quite a bit.
