So, still 13 more days to pick up books this month, but I found a used copy of Sandman Omnibus Vol.1 for $50 on Kijiji (our Craigslist in Canada). Picked it up today and now realize why people advertise their used books as being 'from a 'smoke free home'......the owner of this book obviously smokes. I'll be airing it out for days lol........but $50 is a sweet deal.

There will be a regular HC version of it, too.

Do you need to read the original series first or can you read this as a stand alone?

I still want an Alan Lee illustrated LOTR. Is this a new edition? The blue spine looks unfamiliar.

Kind of. It‘s from 2005. And there are 50 or so illustrations by Lee, starting with a beautiful fold-out of Minas Tirith and Minas Morgul.

Got my replacement 52 Omnibus also - the first one came (sealed) with the entire book block completely ripped from the cover. Never seen a book do that, but thankfully the replacement was in one piece.

Somebody lent me the first JoJo a couple of years ago and it was good, but not good enough for me to go out and buy the rest
