They kill a puppy in the movie?
Still I have to watch the movie, it seems to be a lot of fun.

John Wick was freaking awesome. Gotta check it out again.
It's good to see 'ol Keanu back with a bang. Did anybody notice the twirly mustache Russian from Equalizer is in this too? Haha.
The funny thing is it's Theon Greyjoy doing the canine-killing. He seems to have been typecast into one of the narrowest niche's imaginable: guys who kill canines and then suffer such massive karmic comeuppance that you almost feel bad for them. Almost.
I'm betting, unfamilar with John Wick as I am, that his characters' acts are harder to accept, deal with, or move past, here. Due to the world established, and the kind of dogs involved.
I would find it harder if a dog, straght up dog, maybe even a fox, rather, but a wolf like creature, as in GOT, isn't the same. Not the same creature, companion, bond.
Can't relate to it the same way, but I'm glad a film like this, whatever kind of film it is - supernatural, sci-fi, crime, mystery, thriller, action, mixed - that it's hitting the right emotional notes with people.
Still, you gotta admit that is one narrow bit of typecasting. ;-p
Somewhere someplace somehow you just KNOW that Statham is watching this thinking: "now how come my trailers don't look as cool as this?".
I don't even like Keanu and I want to watch this.
Color me impressed. I liked it so much I think I'm gonna catch it again. This time, though, I won't sit so close to the damned front. I wasn't expecting the IMAX thing to be so intense.
I find John Wick bold enough to pull a Roaring Rampage of Revenge plot where the target that was the revenge trigger for the main character was a dog. You don't often see this kind of thing in theaters. Usually the target in question is a human. But this movie made this scenario work well enough that it manages to make the audience feel for the main character and root for him to make the bad guys suffer.
