I mean it's one thing to lost his mystical hammer, but his arm, doesn't that have a cause of alarm ?

Its temporary, like that time Artemis took over Wonder Woman. Its only the execution I care about I admit the media endorsement for this has been aggravating but the story better live up to the hype.

personally I am really worried... about all this... you know what I am worried about... THAT THIS MIGHT BE AMAZING. I am pumped for the new Female Thor and I am insanely excited to see if we get a daughters of thunder book and to see the stories unfold with Odinson now that he is no longer worthy. I think that this is the shakeup that Thor needed.

First of all chicks dig metal arms. An axe is cooler than a hammer. Thor was actually reduced to mush once, he was a frog once (I think) then later dead, and he came back better than ever. I don't think it's something to lose sleep about.

Didn't it get burned down to the bone and sinew when he pushed one of the Apocalypse Twins into a fiery dimension via a portal in Uncanny Avengers? Maybe they were the fires of Muspelheim.

Marvel is just shoving him aside for a while so that the new Thor gets a chance to shine. I'd be surprised if it lasted longer than a year or two.
