He even admitted when fighting Loki that he held back because he believed he could be saved. He told Loki that if he betrays him he would kill him this time because there was no hope in TDW.

And it isn't like Thor is bereft of feats either lol.

Hell, the 616 versions vary so wildly that it barely means anything.

One second T'challa is arm baring the SS, next second he falls and breaks his neck in AoU

One page T'challa fights back Black Dwarf, the next issue he fights a batman analogue to a standstill

One second Thor is using Mjolnir to dimension dump an apocalypse twin, next second he forgets that power exists and mjolnir is nothing but a blunt object to hit someone with.

I mean, he didin't just smash everythign in his path, but he also smashed the planet to bits. He can't exactly go to London and strike the ground so hard it destroys 5 city blocks lol. He also can't do that in Asgard.

So... it was kind of a perfect storm and also kind of mirrors the comics a bit. Take Thor off Earth and his feats increase 10 fold. Put him on Earth and he is just your standard brick.
Yeah, Thor wasn't trying to collateral damage the places where he hangs out at, nor was he trying to accidentally toast his friends with friendly fire. Very few of the people Thor's around can take what he's capable of dishing out.

If Thor had used that cyclone attack he used in his first movie in Avengers AOC: he would only have made things even worse for the civilians. Remember, a lot of the battle against the Destroyer took place in a desert in New Mexico, NOT a populated city like New York, London or whatever Slorina is supposed to be.

They're still all very powerful though. The one time we see Thor fighting human opponents in AOU, he tears through them like toilet paper. Ultron also easily wastes any of the human characters that try to fight him (in his prime body at least). The fact that Cap is able to survive attacks from them does lend to him being stronger and more skilled than a human.

Umm... Sorry to interrupt the thread, but we might have our writer for the Black Panther comic.

    It's a big WOW.

Never written a comic so I guess you can go there

I don't know who the hell this guy is but...

“A Nation Under Our Feet,” the yearlong story line written by Mr. Coates and drawn by Brian Stelfreeze. It is inspired by the 2003 book by Steven Hahn and will find the hero dealing with a violent uprising in his country set off by a superhuman terrorist group called the People. “It’s going to be a story that repositions the Black Panther in the minds of readers,” Mr. Alonso said. “It really moves him forward.”
I can dig that. Year long story, so guaranteed 12 issues

In Wakanda, so that makes it different

My only problem with this is... once again T'challa is separated from the rest of the MU... Ultimates he is with a bunch of... C list at best characters in space and now his own solo he is isolated in Wakanda.

So, while I am SURE I will love the story... IDK how much T'challas profile is gonna be raised. I guess that can be the movies job...
