Civil War might be a better team movie than IW, but IW definitely has the best villain in the MCU hands down.
Civil war is a better team film. You're right IW has the best villain. Black Panther had the best antagonist.

    True but it's also reality.

To me that book getting a nomination especially when it was not even about the guy whose name is on the book-speaks volumes.

That smells like a "lets see if we can MILK off of that movie" choice.

And despite what Blade x said on bleedingcool that these nominations mean nothing-they actually DO.

Have that nomination (and even winning) gets that book into a few more places where it wouldn't be. It also gives Marvel another reason to reprint the book again and since Coates is linked to that book-it's another nomination under his belt.

Just calling it how it was. It plays on stereotypes and dysfunction. The protagonists have a cringey chemistry that rivals padme and Anakin cringe. Then the dialogue is super cheesy and fake, like they aren't real Characters. Ultimately it was like one of those lifetime movies where the acting is so bad and obvious that you can't take any of it seriously.

Us the fact that they were shade throwing on Tchalla in 3 out of the 5 issues, yet using his name in the title to try and get more people to buy

IW was a Thanos movie. They didnt lie. Thanos, thor, huge gap, then strange, vision, and then maybe stark.

BP got just as much to do as Cap. Cap was a side character too. BP had a couple cool action shots and one feat.

Anyone that complains about the amount of screen time BP got is just being selective. Nearly everyone existed as action props except a handful of people.

Movie was great. Cant believe they actually made a thanos movie lol

I'm not gonna lie the movie was good, but I'm tight right now. I feel like "Comicsgate" won with that ending.

And here are the BP specific spoilers for yall. obviously contains other spoilers as well.

    spoilers:

    - Vision brings up destroying his stone to stop thanos. Someone i think Banner mentions just taking it out of him. Steve says he knows a place that can do it.

    - Okoye mentions ot T'challa that have what is left of the Border tribe. the Doras, and the Kingsguard (aka the dudes in robes). T'challa tells her ot send word to the Jabari. He also said the white wolf has slept long enough and brings him an new arm.

    - Avengers fly into Wakanda. We saw their meeting in the TV spots.

    - Shuri tv spot where she on ups banner. She says it will take a long time to get the stone out.

    - Okoye says something is entering the atmosphere. Its the outrider ships... one of them crashes directly intot he Wakanda shield and blows up doing absolutely no damage to the shield

    - The other ships land outside the force field

    - The trailer thing where T'challa tells them to evacuate teh city ect

    - Army is out there. Mbaku brought the Jabari. Mbaku calls Tchalal hsi brother

    - T'challa, Steve, and someone else I can't remember ride out tthe force fiedl to talk to Proxima and BD. T'challa tells her that she is now in Wakanda and nothing will be left for thanos except blood and dust. Proxima says something abotu having plenty of blood

    - Outriders are unleashed and crash into the force field like rabid dogs. Some get through here and there. Wakanda shoot the ones that come throgh (spear gun things) along with Falcon and Rhodey, ect

    - Widow mentions they may outflank and get to vision. T'challa tells someone to open up a certain sectoin of the forcefield to create a bottle neck. They then charge... T'challa and Steve race ahead visably faster than everyone else.

    - T'challa nad Cap fight side by side for few clips. It si pretty cool... tchalla is easy to see because of the force push explosions of purple.

    - later in the fight. BD is killing a bunch of Wakandans and T'challa knocks him on his ass with a jumping force push punch... it looks exactly like the Hickman shot. BD is a hulk level threat btw. this is T'challa's only real feat. it cuts away after that so IDK how or when BD gets back up but he does

    - SW shows up and does a huge kill scene and Okoye remarks why was she hiding up int he tower. really funn. okoye has great comedic timing

    - Okoye ends of fighing proxima with widow. Scarlet witch ends up saving them and killing proxima

    - Corvus attacks shuri and vision. Shuri eventually gets knocked out.

    - eventually thanos shows up with 5 stones. T'challa is one of he people to charge him and gets KTFO. don't worry, it happened to them all except oen

    - once Thano's snaps, Wakandan's start disappearing. T'challa goes to help Okoye up and starts to vanish as well. Really telling to me that everyone is dying and T'challa is more concerned with his bodyguard than himself.

    - Okoye and M'baku survive the snap. no idea abotu shuri

    end of spoilers

The movie was soooooooooooo jammed packed what was really missing with T'challa was character interactions with the Avengers. He really only talks to bucky for like one sentence and Steve for like once sentence. Just wasn't enough time to see him interacting with everyone.

as an aside, the second biggest cheer in the room behind something spoilery was when the Wakandan T'challa music came on.

    And the biggest spoilers:
cry during the snap was when T'challa dissolved. Literally someoen yelled "NO WHAT THE FUCK NOT TCHALLA"
    end of spoilers

Unpopular opinion but I didn’t like IW. I give it about 6.5-7. At least Wakanda looked good and T’challa Got a feat in this crowded movie

In defense of T'Challa, it wasn't his movie so yeah it was kind of inevitable and spoilers:
other characters too got the business
end of spoilers so T'Challa ain't alone.

    Yeah but spoilers:
the important characters lived at least. T'Challa did about as much as Falcon. And the thing is, you know that the next movie, they'll need to bring people back. Probably can't do that without the gauntlet. Meaning the characters that are left get extra screen time. Of course, they may end up dying in the end to make way for the newbies in future movies... But still - that means even less than the little T'Challa we got. So that sucks.

Non Black Panther related IW spoiler
    spoilers:
    Can't believe Rhodey survived.
    end of spoilers

    Black Panther related IW spoilers
    spoilers:
A tad disappointed with T'Challa's showing, though this really was a Thanos/Thor/Gamora movie. Hulk didn't show up after getting his ass kicked, so BP did better than that. Got about the same amount as Steve in the end, but Steve had other moments earlier and the one with Thanos towards the end. Really, I'm more mad that they copied Hickman's cutaway. I enjoyed the film, but I don't think it was that great a film, so much as it was an experience. Also, in the interim, who gets the throne?
